Accellent was a leading provider of outsourced precision manufacturing and engineering services to the medical device industry, specializing in high-growth clinical markets such as cardiology, endoscopy, and orthopedics. The company offered a comprehensive suite of services including design and engineering, precision component fabrication, finished device assembly, and complete supply chain management. Formed through the merger of UTI Corporation and MedSource Technologies, Accellent became one of the largest medical device contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) globally. It was acquired by Lake Region Medical in 2014, which was subsequently acquired by Greatbatch (now Integer Holdings Corporation) in 2015.
