Accordia Global Health Foundation

Accordia Global Health Foundation was a non-profit organization dedicated to building healthcare capacity and strengthening health systems in Africa. Founded in 2003, the foundation is most recognized for establishing the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) at Makerere University in Uganda, which serves as a premier center for training, research, and clinical care. Accordia focused on addressing the burden of infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis through innovative public-private partnerships and professional medical education. In 2016, the foundation merged with Africare to integrate its specialized health expertise with broader community-led development programs across the continent.
