Company intelligence / Profile preview
Acetaminophen Toxicity Diagnostics (ATD) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in the development of rapid diagnostic tests for liver injury. The company's core technology is a lateral flow assay called AcetaTest, which detects acetaminophen-protein adducts in the blood to identify acetaminophen-induced liver injury (AILI). This diagnostic tool aims to provide results in under 20 minutes, significantly faster than current laboratory-based methods, allowing for earlier intervention with N-acetylcysteine. ATD was founded as a spin-off from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and has received significant funding from the National Institutes of Health.
