ACRIA

ACRIA, formerly the AIDS Community Research Initiative of America, is a leading non-profit research and education organization focused on HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1991 by physicians and activists, the organization pioneered community-based clinical trials to accelerate the development of life-saving treatments. ACRIA is globally recognized for its specialized focus on HIV and aging, particularly through its landmark Research on Older Adults with HIV (ROAH) study. In 2017, ACRIA merged with Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), where it continues to operate as a specialized research and education center. The organization provides critical data, technical assistance, and advocacy to improve the lives of people living with HIV worldwide.
