Actavis Mid Atlantic

Actavis Mid Atlantic LLC was a pharmaceutical company specializing in the development and manufacture of generic prescription drugs, particularly liquid and semi-solid dosage forms. Originally part of Alpharma, the entity was acquired by Actavis Group in 2008 and subsequently became part of Watson Pharmaceuticals and later Allergan through a series of corporate mergers. In 2016, Teva Pharmaceuticals acquired the Actavis generics business, including Actavis Mid Atlantic, in a deal valued at approximately $40.5 billion. The company's portfolio historically included a wide range of generic medications across multiple therapeutic areas, including dermatology and infectious diseases. Today, its operations and manufacturing facilities are fully integrated into Teva's North American generics division.
