Actavis South Atlantic was a pharmaceutical company based in Sunrise, Florida, that specialized in the development and manufacturing of generic drug products. Originally established as Abrika Pharmaceuticals, the company was acquired by Watson Pharmaceuticals (which later became Actavis) in 2007 to enhance its portfolio of controlled-release medications. The entity focused on complex generic formulations across several therapeutic areas, including central nervous system disorders and pain management. In 2016, the company was included in the multi-billion dollar sale of Actavis's global generics business to Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.
