Action Against AMD

Action Against AMD is a UK-based research charity and strategic collaboration between four leading sight loss organizations: Blind Veterans UK, Fight for Sight, Macular Society, and Sight Scotland. The organization is dedicated to finding new ways to stop Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) before it causes vision loss, with a primary focus on early detection and preventative interventions. It operates as a research accelerator, funding innovative science and infrastructure projects such as the Insight Health Data Research Hub for Eye Health. By fostering global partnerships and leveraging artificial intelligence and big data, Action Against AMD aims to shift the clinical paradigm toward identifying and treating the disease in its earliest stages.
