Company intelligence / Profile preview
ActivOrtho was a privately held U.S. orthopedic medical device company focused on nitinol-based bone fixation implants. Its core technology, Active Compression Technology (ACT), was designed to provide continuous compression during healing as bone remodels or resorbs. The company received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2019 for its ActivOrtho Continuous Compression Screw System and reported first U.S. clinical implant use that same year. ActivOrtho positioned its products for bone reconstruction, osteotomy, arthrodesis, joint fusion, and fracture fixation of small bones and small bone fragments. More recent private-company databases indicate the business became out of business in February 2025.
