Activplant was a leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) software designed to improve plant floor productivity and operational efficiency. The company's flagship product, the Activplant Performance Management System, aggregated data from various manufacturing systems to provide real-time visibility into production processes and downtime causes. By identifying bottlenecks and calculating Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), the software helped manufacturers optimize their existing assets. While the company had a strong presence in the automotive sector, its solutions were also utilized by pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturers to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize production throughput. Activplant was acquired by Consona Corporation in 2009 and its technology is now part of the Aptean product portfolio.
