Overview
Acton Pharmaceuticals developed and commercialized inhaled and intranasal corticosteroid therapies for asthma and allergic rhinitis, including Aerospan (flunisolide HFA) and Nasacort HFA (triamcinolone acetonide). Both products were FDA approved at the time of acquisition. Aerospan was soon launched commercially with the acquirer Meda. Nasacort HFA completed multiple phase 3 trials but was not commercially launched prior to acquisition.
