AcumenBioFin was the dedicated life sciences investment banking division of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc. Established in 2002, the division provided specialized financial services including capital raising, strategic advisory, and equity research for companies in the biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors. It was particularly well-known for its leadership in Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) and Registered Direct (RD) financing transactions, often ranking as a top placement agent in the sector. The division also hosted the influential Rodman & Renshaw Annual Healthcare Conference, which served as a major networking hub for the biotech industry and institutional investors. AcumenBioFin ceased operations following the bankruptcy and subsequent liquidation of its parent company in 2012.
