Acuo Technologies was a leading provider of clinical content management and medical imaging solutions, specializing in Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) technology. The company's flagship Universal Clinical Platform (UCP) allowed healthcare organizations to consolidate, manage, and share medical images and clinical data across disparate systems and departments. By decoupling the storage layer from specific Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Acuo enabled superior data interoperability and long-term accessibility for large healthcare enterprises. The company was acquired by Lexmark International in 2013 to bolster its Perceptive Software healthcare portfolio. Following subsequent corporate restructuring, the technology and business unit became part of Hyland Software.
