Company intelligence / Profile preview
Clinical studies—including one published by Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the journal Cancer—demonstrated that use of the Addinex system led to high rates of excess opioid disposal after surgery, lower prescription refill rates, increased patient safety perception, and positive user experience. In a completed study with major cancer-related surgery patients using opioids post-operatively, there was a significant reduction in pills taken versus prescribed (70% fewer), fewer refills (60% less), and an excess pill disposal rate of 84%. The product has been validated in clinical settings and recognized by Fast Company as a “World Changing Idea.” The company has received grants from the CDC and NIH.
