Addis Pharmaceutical Factory (APF) is the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in Ethiopia, established to ensure the domestic supply of essential medicines. Founded in 1992 and commencing operations in 1997, the company produces a diverse portfolio of over 90 products across various therapeutic areas, including antibiotics, analgesics, and treatments for chronic non-communicable diseases. APF operates a large-scale manufacturing complex in Adigrat, Tigray, capable of producing tablets, capsules, syrups, and injectable formulations. The company plays a pivotal role in the Ethiopian healthcare sector by providing affordable generic medications to both the public and private markets.
