Adjuvantix

Adjuvantix was a UK-based biotechnology company and a spin-out from the University of Sheffield, specializing in the development of next-generation vaccine adjuvants. The company's core technology, the ADX40 platform, utilized a monoclonal antibody against CD40 (CD40mAb) conjugated to antigens to stimulate a rapid and potent immune response, particularly in immunocompromised patients. Adjuvantix focused on both prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines for indications such as influenza, prostate cancer, and lymphoma. Despite securing early-stage funding and establishing research collaborations, the company was unable to progress its programs into clinical trials and was officially dissolved in 2016.
