Admedus Regen

Admedus Regen was a regenerative medicine company and a subsidiary of Admedus (now Anteris Technologies) that focused on developing bio-scaffolds for tissue repair. The company's core technology, the ADAPT tissue engineering platform, removes DNA and lipids from bovine pericardium to create a non-calcifying, biocompatible scaffold. Its lead products, CardioCel and VascuCel, are used in the surgical repair of congenital heart defects, heart valves, and vascular structures. These products are designed to integrate with the patient's native tissue, potentially reducing the need for follow-up surgeries. In October 2019, Admedus sold the Regen business and its ADAPT technology to LeMaitre Vascular for approximately 15.5 million USD plus future milestones.
