Adneuris Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tris Pharma, launched in July 2026. The company is dedicated to redefining pain management and treating addiction through the development and commercialization of its lead investigational asset, cebranopadol. Cebranopadol is a first-in-class, oral, dual nociceptin/orphanin FQ peptide (NOP) and mu-opioid peptide (MOP) receptor agonist designed to deliver strong analgesia with a significantly reduced risk of abuse, dependence, and respiratory depression compared to traditional selective MOP agonists. Adneuris is preparing to submit a New Drug Application (NDA) to the U.S. FDA for cebranopadol in moderate-to-severe acute pain, supported by positive Phase 3 data from its ALLEVIATE-1 and ALLEVIATE-2 trials. Additionally, the company is advancing cebranopadol for chronic low back pain, where it holds FDA Fast Track Designation, as well as opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders.
