Overview

Adrenomed has developed a first-in-class monoclonal antibody, enibarcimab (formerly adrecizumab), targeting the vasoprotective hormone adrenomedullin. In the Phase II proof-of-concept trial (AdrenOSS‑2) involving patients with septic shock and elevated ADM levels, treatment led to improved organ function and a substantial reduction in short-term mortality (>60% relative reduction at Day 28 in biomarker-defined subgroups). The drug was well tolerated. Enibarcimab received FDA Fast Track designation in April 2024. A confirmatory Phase IIb/III trial is being prepared.
