Advance Nanotech, Inc. was a diversified nanotechnology company that operated as an incubator and holding company for various nanotech applications, with a significant focus on life sciences. Through its subsidiary, Advance Nanotech Life Sciences, the company collaborated with academic institutions like the University of Cambridge and the University of Missouri to develop nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems and diagnostic sensors. Its most notable legacy is the spin-out of Owlstone, which evolved into the prominent breath-analysis company Owlstone Medical. While the company was a pioneer in the mid-2000s nanotech boom, it eventually ceased active operations and its assets were divested or became independent.
