Company intelligence / Profile preview
Advance Paradigm was a U.S. healthcare services company focused on pharmacy benefit management for health benefit plan sponsors. The company provided integrated PBM services, formulary and rebate administration, and disease management support for members requiring costly long-term therapies. It was founded in 1986 and went public in 1996. In 2000, Advance Paradigm acquired PCS Health Systems from Rite Aid and subsequently changed the combined company’s name to AdvancePCS. The business was later acquired through Caremark’s purchase of AdvancePCS, so Advance Paradigm no longer operates as an independent company.
