Advanced BioPhotonics Inc. (formerly OmniCorder Technologies) was a medical imaging company that developed functional imaging systems based on advanced infrared technology. Its core technology, Dynamic Infrared Imaging (DIRI), utilized high-sensitivity Quantum Well Infrared Photodetectors (QWIP) to detect minute changes in blood perfusion and metabolic activity. The company's lead product, the BioScanIR system, received FDA clearance for applications in oncology, including the adjunctive diagnosis of breast cancer and vascular assessment. Advanced BioPhotonics collaborated with prestigious institutions like Yale and Harvard to validate its technology for reconstructive surgery and cancer monitoring. The company was acquired by Sinclair IS Pharma in 2011.
