Company intelligence / Profile preview
Advanced Clinical Software (ACS), widely known by its flagship product name StudyManager, was a healthcare information technology company specializing in clinical trial management solutions. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Seattle, the company provided a suite of tools including Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Electronic Data Capture (EDC), and Institutional Review Board (IRB) management software. Its products were designed to streamline clinical operations for research sites, academic medical centers, and mid-sized biotechnology and pharmaceutical sponsors. ACS was a pioneer in the site-based CTMS market before expanding into sponsor-focused solutions with StudyManager Sponsor Edition. The company was acquired by Merge Healthcare in 2012, which later became part of IBM Watson Health. Today, its legacy technologies are part of the Merative portfolio following IBM's divestiture of its healthcare data assets.
