Company intelligence / Profile preview
Advanced Immuno Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company founded in 1987 by Alvin J. Glasky, focusing on the development of novel purine derivatives for neurodegenerative and memory disorders. The company's lead candidate, AIT-082 (later known as Neotrofin), was a bifunctional purine analog designed to stimulate the production of neurotrophic factors and modulate immune responses to treat conditions like Alzheimer's disease and stroke. In 1996, the company was renamed NeoTherapeutics and subsequently transitioned into Spectrum Pharmaceuticals in 2002. Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, which expanded its focus into oncology, was eventually acquired by Assertio Holdings in 2023.
