Company intelligence / Profile preview
Advanced Technology Acquisition Corp. (ATAC) was a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) or 'blank check' company based in Ramat Gan, Israel. Founded in 2006, the company was established to effect a merger or acquisition with a technology-related business, specifically targeting entities with operations in Israel. In 2008, the company entered into a letter of intent to merge with Bioness Inc., a medical device firm focused on functional electrical stimulation (FES) for neurological rehabilitation. The merger was ultimately canceled in 2009, leading to the liquidation of the company and the return of funds to its investors. ATAC was previously listed on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol AXC.
