Advantage Medical Products, Inc. (AMP) was a medical device company specializing in the development and manufacture of respiratory care and anesthesia products. The company was best known for its heated humidification systems, which are used to provide moisture and warmth to patients undergoing mechanical ventilation or receiving supplemental oxygen. These systems are critical in preventing airway dehydration and maintaining lung function in critical care settings. In April 2007, the company was acquired by Teleflex Incorporated for approximately 12 million dollars in cash. Following the acquisition, AMP's product line was integrated into Teleflex's Hudson RCI brand, strengthening its position in the global respiratory therapy market.
