Advitech

Advitech was a Canadian biotechnology company focused on the development of natural health products and bioactive ingredients derived from bovine whey. The company is best known for its lead product, XP-828L (branded as Dermylex), a patented oral whey protein extract used for the treatment of mild-to-moderate psoriasis. Advitech's proprietary extraction technology, the M-Plex platform, allowed for the isolation of specific growth factors and peptides with immunomodulatory effects. Although the company was publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange, it underwent financial restructuring and was acquired by Inoventiv in 2010. Its core assets and intellectual property were later integrated into larger nutrition and life science portfolios, including distribution agreements with Glanbia Nutritionals.
