Aesgen

Aesgen was a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Princeton, New Jersey, that focused on the development of generic injectable products for the US market. The company specialized in creating complex formulations and navigating the regulatory requirements for Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs). In November 2015, Aesgen was acquired by Hikma Pharmaceuticals through its US subsidiary, West-Ward Pharmaceuticals. The acquisition included Aesgen's pipeline of seven products, notably including Caffeine Citrate, which strengthened Hikma's position in the specialty injectables space. Aesgen's expertise in non-aqueous and other complex delivery systems was a key driver for the transaction.
