Aevi Genomics

Aevi Genomic Medicine was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on using genomic medicine to identify and develop therapies for pediatric-onset, life-altering diseases. The company combined an internal genomics platform with a collaboration with the Center for Applied Genomics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to discover genetically defined patient subsets and repurpose or in-license targeted therapies. Its pipeline included AEVI-001 for genetically defined ADHD and autism-related populations, AEVI-002, an anti-LIGHT monoclonal antibody for pediatric-onset Crohn's disease, and AEVI-005 for an undisclosed ultra-orphan autoimmune pediatric disease. Aevi changed its name from Medgenics in December 2016 and traded on Nasdaq under GNMX. The company was acquired by Cerecor on February 3, 2020, after which its assets were integrated into the acquirer's rare disease pipeline.
