Affiliated Laboratory Services (ALS) was a leading provider of diagnostic laboratory testing based in Bangor, Maine. Founded in 1983 as a joint venture between Northern Light Health and MaineGeneral Health, the company offered a wide range of clinical pathology and outreach services to healthcare providers across the state. In October 2018, Quest Diagnostics acquired the outreach laboratory service business of ALS to expand its diagnostic information services in the region. Following the acquisition, the parent health systems continued to operate their respective hospital-based laboratories while leveraging Quest's advanced testing capabilities. The company was known for its high-volume testing facility and extensive network of patient service centers.
