Affivant Sciences

Affivant Sciences was a Basel, Switzerland-based private oncology biotechnology company created within the Roivant ecosystem to develop innate immune cell engagers for solid tumors. Its lead program, AFVT-2101, was a tetravalent bispecific antibody targeting Folate receptor alpha (FRα) on tumor cells and CD16A on innate immune cells, with the goal of recruiting natural killer cells and macrophages against FRα-positive cancers. The company positioned its approach as a way to broaden the utility of FRα-directed therapy beyond highly expressing tumors and to differentiate from FRα-targeting antibody-drug conjugates on efficacy and safety. Affivant licensed its first asset from Affimed and used Affimed's ROCK technology foundation for its ICE programs. Publicly available company and registry records indicate that the Swiss legal entity later entered liquidation, so the business does not appear to be currently operating as an active standalone biotech.
