AfricInvest is a pan-African investment and financial services firm focused on private equity, venture capital, and private credit investing across Africa. Founded in 1994 in Tunisia, the firm backs small and midsized companies across sectors including financial services, agribusiness, consumer, education, and healthcare. In healthcare, AfricInvest operates as an investor rather than a drug developer, including through its Transform Health Fund, which finances health supply chains, care delivery, and digital health businesses in sub-Saharan Africa. The firm has raised approximately $2 billion across 21 funds and operates through a multi-office regional network spanning North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe. AfricInvest is therefore relevant to healthcare as a sector-focused investor, but it is not itself a biotech, pharma, or healthcare operating company.
