Agonn Systems

Agonn Systems was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arrowhead Research Corporation (now Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals), a biotechnology company based in Pasadena, California. Established in the mid-2000s, the company was part of Arrowhead's initial business model as a nanotechnology holding company focused on commercializing life science applications of nanomedicine. Agonn Systems was managed alongside other subsidiaries like Calando Pharmaceuticals and Tego Biosciences to develop targeted drug delivery systems and nanotechnology-related products. Following Arrowhead's strategic pivot to become a pure-play RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutics developer in the early 2010s, Agonn Systems transitioned into a non-operating entity. It remains a legacy component of Arrowhead's corporate history in the nanotechnology sector.
