AGOWA Genomics

AGOWA Genomics was a Berlin-based genomics service provider specializing in DNA sequencing and nucleic acid extraction. Founded in 1993, the company established itself as a leading European provider of molecular biological services for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic sectors. Its core offerings included Sanger sequencing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and the development of proprietary magnetic bead-based extraction technologies. In 2005, AGOWA was acquired by the LGC Group, where it became the foundation for LGC's genomics division. Today, its technologies and expertise continue to support large-scale genomic projects globally under the LGC Biosearch Technologies brand.
