AgriDyne Technologies was an agricultural biotechnology company that specialized in the development and commercialization of environmentally compatible biopesticides. Based in Salt Lake City, the company focused on botanical-based insect control products, most notably those derived from the neem tree and pyrethrum flowers. Their lead products, such as Azatin and Align, utilized the active ingredient azadirachtin to disrupt the growth cycles of various insect pests in greenhouse and agricultural settings. AgriDyne was a pioneer in the AgBio sector during the early 1990s, providing alternatives to traditional synthetic chemical pesticides. The company went public on the NASDAQ in 1992 before being acquired by Biosys in 1995.
