AIS Aachen Innovative Solutions is a German medical technology company specializing in the development of advanced circulatory support systems. The company is best known for its innovative expandable catheter-pump technology, which is designed to provide high-flow cardiac support through a minimally invasive, small-bore access point. This technology aims to significantly reduce vascular complications for patients undergoing high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions or those in cardiogenic shock. In April 2020, AIS was acquired by Abiomed, a leader in heart recovery and support technologies, to enhance the Impella product portfolio.
