Beyond Air, formerly known as AIT Therapeutics, is a commercial-stage medical device and biopharmaceutical company developing a platform for the delivery of inhaled nitric oxide (NO). The company's proprietary LungFit system generates nitric oxide from ambient air, eliminating the need for bulky and expensive high-pressure gas cylinders. Beyond Air is targeting a range of respiratory conditions, including persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN), bronchiolitis, and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) lung infections. Additionally, the company is exploring the use of ultra-high concentrations of nitric oxide for the treatment of solid tumors through its affiliate, Beyond Cancer.
