Aker Technologies was a U.S. digital agriculture company focused on crop intelligence, in-season analytics, and precision agronomy rather than human healthcare or biotech. The company developed sensor- and data-driven tools to monitor crop disease, insect pressure, weed pressure, stand counts, soil and canopy conditions, and other agronomic stressors. Its best-known platform, TrueCause, combined above-canopy drone imaging with under-canopy diagnostics to generate field-level insights for growers and agricultural input providers. In April 2023, Intelinair announced its acquisition of Aker Technologies to expand Intelinair’s digital agronomy and drone-enabled analytics capabilities.
