AktiVax

AktiVax is a Colorado-based drug-delivery and medical device company focused on autoinjectors, prefilled delivery systems, and reconstitution technologies for vaccines, biologics, and emergency countermeasures. The company has also operated under the names Aktiv Pharma Group and, more recently, Aktiv Medical Systems. Its core technologies include the ARAI autoinjector platform, the ARCH glass-free container and reconstitution system, and the PenPal autoinjector platform for larger-volume and high-viscosity biologics. AktiVax has pursued government-funded programs for nerve-agent antidote autoinjectors and related preparedness products, while also positioning its device platforms for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical partners. Although the company announced in 2023 that it was shutting down substantially all operations and closing facilities, its current web presence indicates the business or successor operating platform remains active under Aktiv Medical Systems.
