Alabama Eye Bank

Alabama Eye Bank is a nonprofit eye bank and tissue-banking organization based in Birmingham, Alabama that provides donated ocular tissue for corneal transplantation, research, and surgical training. It is described as Alabama’s only eye bank and historically operated as part of Advancing Sight Network, which announced in late 2025 that it merged with Miracles In Sight and is now operating as Precision Ocular Network. The organization recovers, processes, stores, and distributes ocular tissue, supports donor families and hospitals, and works with surgeons on specialized graft preparation.
