Overview
Aldagen developed technology for selecting stem cells with higher potency from adult sources using aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH). Their most advanced program, ALD-101, was a purified cord blood stem cell product for treating inherited metabolic diseases in pediatric patients that reached Phase III trials. They also developed ALD-201, which used patients' own bone marrow-derived stem cells for treating chronic heart failure, which completed Phase I trials.
