Algostim

Algostim was a medical technology company focused on developing advanced neurostimulation systems for the treatment of chronic pain. The company's primary innovation was the Algovita Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) system, which was designed to provide a highly customizable and patient-centric approach to managing chronic intractable pain of the trunk and limbs. Algostim was acquired by Greatbatch (now Integer Holdings Corporation) to serve as the foundation for their neuromodulation platform. The Algovita system eventually received FDA PMA approval and CE Mark, representing a significant advancement in the field of implantable pulse generators and lead technology.
