ALiA BioTech is a Hong Kong-based diagnostics and medical device company developing and commercializing rapid point-of-care testing systems for infectious and other acute conditions. The company operates a portable ALiA point-of-care platform built around microfluidic BioChips, microarray technology, and fluorescent immunoassay workflows designed to generate multiplex results from a small sample in about 15 minutes. Its platform is positioned for frontline and near-patient testing, with applications spanning respiratory diseases, tropical diseases, sexually transmitted infections, sepsis, and COVID-19. ALiA BioTech was founded as Sanwa BioTech and later rebranded, and it appears to operate as a private company with manufacturing scale-up in Hong Kong.
