Align Foundation collaborates with leading organizations like ATCC to generate large-scale, high-quality microbial phenotyping datasets. These datasets are designed to accelerate artificial intelligence research by providing standardized, reproducible links between genotype and phenotype. The foundation’s mission centers on building scalable, shareable research infrastructure for predictive biology. Their first-of-its-kind open-access dataset will cover 1,000 diverse microbial strains across 1,000 cultivation conditions—enabling robust training of machine learning models that predict physiology from genetic information. Data will be hosted via their Phenome Portal with cross-links to ATCC’s Genome Portal for seamless navigation between genotype and phenotype resources.
