ALIGN Holdings, LLC, along with its subsidiary ALIGN Pharmaceuticals, LLC, was a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the commercialization of supportive care products for cancer patients. Based in Cary, North Carolina, the company marketed three primary products: Xclair Cream for the management of radiation-induced dermatitis, and Numoisyn Liquid and Lozenges for the treatment of xerostomia (dry mouth) caused by chemotherapy or radiation. In October 2007, the company was acquired by Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals for approximately $3.3 million to $3.8 million in cash plus stock. The acquisition provided Cyclacel with an established commercial infrastructure and immediate revenue to support its oncology drug development pipeline.
