Allegiance

Allegiance Healthcare Corporation was a prominent American healthcare company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of medical, surgical, and laboratory products. Originally spun off from Baxter International in 1996, the company became a leader in providing integrated supply chain solutions and custom surgical procedure kits (Presource) to hospitals and clinics. In 1999, Allegiance was acquired by Cardinal Health for approximately $5.4 billion, a landmark merger that significantly expanded Cardinal's footprint in the medical supply market. Today, the Allegiance name persists as a major brand for surgical gloves, drapes, and patient care products within the Cardinal Health portfolio.
