Allied Health Professions Federation

The Allied Health Professions Federation (AHPF) is a leadership body that represents the collective interests of 12 professional associations for allied health professionals (AHPs) in the United Kingdom. The federation provides a unified voice for over 170,000 AHPs, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and speech and language therapists. Its primary mission is to influence healthcare policy, provide strategic advice to government departments, and promote the value of the AHP workforce in improving patient outcomes. AHPF works closely with national bodies such as NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care to ensure AHPs are central to health and social care delivery. It operates as a company limited by guarantee and serves as a critical link between professional bodies and national healthcare leadership.
