Overview
AlloCure developed AC607, an off-the-shelf allogeneic MSC therapy for acute kidney injury. The company completed a successful Phase I trial showing safety and encouraging efficacy signals. A large multicenter randomized double-blind placebo-controlled Phase II trial was launched to further evaluate efficacy in post-cardiac surgery AKI patients. No approved therapies exist for AKI beyond supportive care at the time of these studies. The company received FDA Fast Track designation for AC607 in this indication. As of the latest reports, no commercial product has been launched.
