Altemia, Inc. was a specialized biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of therapeutic solutions for sickle cell disease (SCD). The company's lead product, also named Altemia (formerly SC411), is a proprietary oral formulation of specific omega-3 fatty acids, including docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), designed to reduce the frequency of vaso-occlusive crises in pediatric and adult patients.
