AltiMed Pharmaceuticals was a Canadian pharmaceutical company primarily focused on the marketing and distribution of generic drug products. Originally established as a joint venture between Mylan Laboratories and Apotex, the company played a significant role in the Canadian generic drug market during the 1990s. In 1998, Mylan Laboratories acquired the remaining 50% interest in the company to gain full control of its operations. Following the acquisition, AltiMed's business was integrated into Mylan's global infrastructure, which later became part of Viatris following the merger of Mylan and Upjohn.
