Altis Biosystems

Altis Biosystems develops advanced in vitro platforms—most notably its RepliGut® system—that use adult human stem cells to create physiologically relevant models of the small intestine and colon. These platforms are used by pharmaceutical companies for preclinical drug screening, disease modeling, microbiome studies, toxicity testing, absorption/metabolism assays, and more. The company’s goal is to improve translational relevance over animal or traditional cell line models while reducing reliance on animal testing. Their products are widely adopted by pharma/biotech clients but they do not have their own clinical pipeline as they are a CRO/research tools provider rather than a therapeutic developer.
